St. Francis Xavier University is proud to offer the Diploma in Adult Education - the number one choice among adult educators and human resources development professionals.
Now in its 29th year, the Diploma program is offered on-site in major centres and stresses practical, hands-on skills development for adult educators, trainers, HRD consultants, and others who work in related capacities.
The Diploma program consists of six modules. Modules 1 - 5 are classroom based, each consisting of a three day workshop (9:00am - 4:30pm daily) and a formal assignment. Module 6 is a practicum (field project) that is completed at-a-distance.
The Diploma program's format offers maximum accessibility and flexibility to learn while you earn. Each module (1-5) is staffed by two facilitators and enrollment is limited to 30 learners.
"CSTD (Canadian Society for Training & Development) recognizes that St.
Francis Xavier's Diploma in Adult Education addresses the competency categories
for the training and development industry outlined in CSTD's Training Competency
Architecture (TCA). Students enrolled in this program are eligible for student membership
with CSTD, and graduates are given a credit of one year towards the work
experience requirement of the Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP)
designation."
