General Anthropology  First Nations Archaeology Anthropology of Development

The First Nations Focus will be of interest to First Nations students at StFX who presently have no academic “home” at the University as well as to other students who want to learn about First Nations. In addition to our existing courses, we plan to develop “out-reach” courses, including an ethnographic field course, in partnership with nearby Mi’kmaw communities.  This stream will prepare students for careers in fields such as education, law, politics, journalism, community development or the public service sector, anywhere that a knowledge of First Nations issues and perspectives is important.
