Co-operative education is leading the way in preparing students for careers in their field of choice after graduation. The Co-operative Education Program at StFX is designed to enhance classroom learning through integrated work experience. Participants in the program benefit from: professional development sessions, career and academic counseling, support and assistance to find and secure a work placement, and support on the job. The staff is dedicated to helping its students by providing them with the tools and teachings they need for success in the work force, and by assisting them with the transition when they return to campus.

Our program is five years young. Over the years the program has grown and adapted to meet the needs of its publics; students, faculty, administration, and employer partners locally, provincially, and across Canada. The program has come a long way since its inception and is continually growing, expanding and exploring new and innovative methods to meet the demands of students, degree programs, and the industries it supports.
