Co-operative Education helps students put theory into practice with 12 or 16 months of paid professional experience.
The Co-operative Education route is optional. Our staff works closely with the students in the program to ensure that they are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead when searching and securing their work placements. The department offers professional development sessions to help participants make the transition from student to professional with confidence and ease.
Co-op placement opportunities for students are found in large, mid-size and small organizations across Canada and in the US, and are created through connections with faculty and industry liaisons, StFX Alumni, government and industry partnerships.
StFX Co-operative Education Program offers a co-op option for students in the following disciplines:
