This Certificate Program is offered over the Internet by the Continuing Education Department of St Francis Xavier University. The program consists of three non-credit courses, each of 12 weeks duration, offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring terms. Students can earn a Certificate within one year of study.
E-Commerce is defined as the use of the Internet to sell goods and services. It differs from e-Business, which is the study of the use of technology in a business, particularly the Internet and Web based applications, to streamline and enhance the business model of an enterprise. There is, however, an overlap between the two.
Courses are delivered in a computer-based format and incorporate features that contribute to the success of adult learners. Many adults describe the freedom of home study as the main reason for choosing a distance delivery program.
