Psychology Department

Research Ethics Committees

The Psychology Department has two research ethics committees (RECs); however, all applications will be submitted through Dr. Ted Wright (REC Coordinator) and forwarded to the appropriate committee.  Any data collection (surveys etc.) that involves human participants must have ethical clearance from one of these committees.  The only exception to this rule is when data is collected within a class setting and the participants are fellow classmates.

REC Members

Committee A

Dr. Christie Lomore (Chair)

Dr. Ann Bigelow

Dr. John McKenna

Committee B

Below you will find links to the REC Application form.  Save the form to your computer and type (or copy/paste) the information directly into the form.  Do not delete the questions or any other content from the form.  Use page breaks between Appendices.

Print the Faculty Supervisor Agreement form, fill it out, and have your supervisor sign it after he/she has read and approved your application. Put this form in the REC chair's mailbox.
