University Advancement Mission Statement

We are a professional team dedicated to taking a leadership role in creating and enhancing internal and external relationships to promote and sustain the future of St. Francis Xavier University.



Alumni Affairs

Alumni Affairs is responsible for maintaining the X connection upon graduation. The office oversees the AlumniNews magazine. It also coordinates Homecoming, chapter events an Alumni listserv for information, career mentoring opportunities, the student alumni recognition awards, the Alumni Awards of Excellence program and the induction of candidates to the Hall of Honour, and other exciting programs. It also has a student alumni association, SALUTE, which assists with special events, acting as ambassadors.



Communications and Marketing

Communications is responsible for media relations, external relations, publications and marketing for the university. The office also oversees crisis communications and sports information. The office produces news@stfx, AlumniNews, Xaverian Profiles and many other promotion and recruitment materials. The office manages the Campus Events web page and would be pleased to list your event.



Development

Development is responsible for all private funding and fundraising, such as Annual Giving, Planned Giving, Special Project Funding and Capital Campaigns. Many students find employment as callers in the Annual Giving program. To become a caller contact Cathy Fraser at 867-5144 or email at cfraser@stfx.ca.



Records

Advancement Records maintains a comprehensive database of Alumni, Friends and supporters of the University. These records are essential to maintain contact with Alumni and Friends. Records staff also search for 'lost' alumni. The records section plays a significant role in capital campaign fundraising and alumni event planning, as well as the general daily function of the Development Office / Annual Giving program.
