1.  WHAT IS MY CLEANER RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THE RESIDENCES?

The cleaner working in your residence during the week is responsible for all your:

1.      Washrooms

2.      Garbage

3.      Corridors

4.      Stairwells

5.      Laundry rooms

6.      Lounges

 

1.  WHAT IS MY CLEANER RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THE FACULTY & STAFF BUILDINGS?

The cleaner working in your building during the week is responsible for all your:

1.      Washrooms

2.      Garbage

3.      Corridors

4.      Stairwells

 

2.  WHAT ARE THE PRIORITIES FOR MY CLEANERS?

 1st Priority      Clean washrooms
2nd Priority      Garbage removal & cleaning corridors

 

3.  WHEN ARE THE SHOWERS CLEANED IN RESIDENCE?    

Showers are deep cleaned weekly (walls & floors are sprayed down).  All showers are spot checked daily

 

4.  WHEN ARE LOUNGES & LAUNDRY ROOMS CLEANED IN RESIDENCES?

Weekly

 

5.  WHO DO I CONTACT TO REPORT SOMETHING WRONG?

 If you experience problems with cleaning or maintenance (such as: broken windows, doors, heaters, locks, or problems with water) make request by: 

  1. Send email to fm@stfx.ca
  2. Call FM Desk @ 2149

 

6.  WHO DO I CALL IF I FEEL MY REPORT IS NOT BEING ADDRESSED IN A TIMELY MATTER?

 For cleaning, contact Peter MacDonald, Manager of Cleaning Services at 3622.
 

For maintenance requests, grounds and transport requests, contact Shaun Chisholm, Manager of Maintenance at 2235.

 

5.  HOW DO I REQUEST A KEY?

In order to get a key, the KEY REQUEST FORM must be printed, completed and approved by your Department Head.  The form can either be mailed or dropped off to Karen Smith room 105 Facilities Management (MacDonald Hall).
