Human Rights and Equity Advisor

   All members of St. Francis Xavier University have the right to learn, work, live and play in an environment free from discrimination and harassment, including sexual on all twenty prohibited grounds of discrimination covered under the Nova Scotia Human Rights Act.

The Office of the Human Rights and Equity Advisor has been established to provide human rights, equity and diversity education and training, complaint resolution for students, faculty, staff and administration on human rights and equity issues.

  The Human Rights and Equity Advisor, serves all members of StFX in an impartial manner.

  Some specific services offered by the Human Rights and Equity Advisor:

*                               Human rights programs and workshops

*                               Informal complaint resolution


 
Any member of StFX who believes they are being harassed or discriminated against has access to the Human Rights and Equity     Advisor to pursue an informal resolution or to arrange for mediation or formal complaint process.

The Human Rights and Equity Advisor is presently located in 306 Bloomfield Centre. You can call Marie at 867-5306 or send email to Marie Brunelle to arrange a time to come in for a chat or to discuss a specific concern.
