The Marie Michael Library was established in 1964 to meet the information needs of students and teaching staff of the Coady International Institute.
The library is located on the ground floor of Aquinas Hall, across from Morrison Hall at St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The library collection of over 11,000 books and periodicals focuses on social, community, and economic development, with special emphasis on the countries of the global South. We also have over 600 videos and a number of digital resources. Some areas of particular interest are:
Selected microfinance materials formerly comprising the Calmeadow Resource Center have been integrated with our library collection. We appreciate the generosity of the Calmeadow Foundation in choosing us as the repository for their fine collection.
St. F.X. students and faculty are welcome to use the Marie Michael Library, and are especially encouraged to do so during the Fall Term when participants in Coady's Diploma Program are on campus.
Visiting scholars are also very welcome! You should note that our winter hours are reduced. Please contact us in advance to confirm.
