Colleen Cameron

Program Staff

Ms. Cameron has over 25 years experience in the area of community health and development, adult education and social justice. She has practiced and taught in nursing and community health in Canada and Africa, while also engaging in overseas emergency famine relief projects. At the Coady Institute, Ms. Cameron's teaching areas are Health and Development, Gender and Development, and Adult Education. In addition, Ms. Cameron teaches in the Nursing Department of StFX University, where she is engaged in direct and distance education programs. Her overseas experience includes working with Coady partner organizations, such as the Association of Christian Lay Centres in Africa (ACLAC). She is helping to develop a training team, curriculum materials and an evaluation process for ACLAC in Uganda and Nigeria. Ms. Cameron has also lived and worked in Yemen, Ethiopia and Sudan

Ms. Cameron holds a MAdEd from St. Francis Xavier University, a BN from Dalhousie University and a Diploma in International Health Nursing from Seneca College.
