Mr. Amit, past Director of the Coady International Institute, was for many years the Institute's resident expert in participatory approaches to development and rural development, with a focus on poverty elimination. He has taught courses in Participatory Program Planning, Rural Development, and Social Policy and Development. He has done extensive work with the Institute's partners throughout Africa and South Asia, and continues to work with the Institute as an Associate in the area of distance education.
Mr. Amit holds a MA (International Development) from Carleton University.
