Ms. Hamelin joined the Coady Institute in 2003 as the Youth Programs Co-ordinator. She oversees Coady's youth programs, including the International Youth Internship Program and the Certificate in Youth Leadership for Development. Ms. Hamelin joined the Coady after working as an animator for the Sport, Culture, Recreation, Social Development Department at the Borough of Dorval, Quebec. A project coordinator with Right to Play's SportWorks Program, she worked with United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in the western region of Cote d'Ivoire, implementing a community-based sport and play program for Liberian and Sierra Leonian refugees. While at St. Francis Xavier University she was a varsity rugby player and volunteered with MAXX - a motor activities program for children with physical and mental disabilities.
Ms. Hamelin received a BA (Human Kinetics) from St. Francis Xavier University.
