Ms. Coyle has brought to the Coady Institute 20 years of professional experience in management, strategic planning, evaluation, economic development in Aboriginal communities, gender training and enterprise development strategies. She has worked extensively in Africa and Asia, in such countries as Ghana, Botswana and Indonesia. As Director, she provides leadership to both professional and academic staff, oversees the ongoing development of the Institute in the rapidly evolving development scene, builds the financial base of the Institute, strengthens its linkages with various constituencies, and engages in teaching and overseas activities of the Institute. Her research and practice focus mainly on the areas of non-profit management, microfinance, gender, self-employment and community capacity-building.
Ms. Coyle holds a MA (Rural Development) from the University of Guelph's School of Rural Planning and Development, and a BA (Languages), also from the University of Guelph.
