Olga Gladkikh

Manager of Direct Education Programs

Ms. Gladkikh is a development communications specialist with over 25 years of diversified experience as a communications practitioner and educator. Her particular interests include participatory communication; democratizing communication; using media as a tool for social change; advocacy and networking; legitimacy, credibility and political responsibility in NGO advocacy; capacity building of people's organizations to strengthen civil society; and emancipatory adult education methodologies. As Manager of Direct Education Programs, she is responsible for coordinating the design and delivery of all Coady's education programs in Canada. She also teaches courses in Human Relations, Advocacy and Networking, and Communications in Organizations. Ms. Gladkikh's overseas work includes training and advisory experience with local, national and international NGOs in Asia (Nepal, India, Bangladesh and the Philippines), Africa (Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Egypt), the South Pacific (Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu and New Caledonia) and Canada.

Ms. Gladkikh holds a MA (Journalism) and a BA (Honours, Psychology), both from the University of Western Ontario.
