StFX ranks number one nationally, say students

ANTIGONISH, NS --- StFX has once again been rated as one of Canada�s top universities, this time the results coming from the most important stakeholders � the students.

StFX achieved the highest results when students were asked if they would choose to return to their current institution, with over 95% of students responding favourably. The results are part of the National Survey of Student Engagement published by Macleans.ca.

StFX also scored the highest response of 96% when asked to evaluate their entire educational experience.

Highlights where StFX fared among the top in other categories include:

95% reported professors encourage students to participate in class discussions
95% reported professors treat students as individuals rather than numbers
97% reported professors are reasonably accessible outside of class to help students
93% indicated the learning experiences have been intellectually stimulating
89% reported being satisfied with the overall quality of the education received at the university
