Welcome to Perspectives! Perspectives is an electronic journal that features academic writings in the fields of communist and post-communist studies. The journal considers for publication excellent articles written by current students from across the world and provides a forum for students to share ideas and provide insight into all aspects of life in communist and post-communist countries. Perspectives welcomes contributions regarding any communist or post-communist country from all disciplines, such as history, political science, religious studies, modern literature, economics, anthropology and sociology.

The aim of Perspectives is to give undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions through publication and give typically unheard scholars a voice. This journal is run by students with the interests of all students in mind.

Perspectives is based at the Centre for Post-Communist Studies at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.
