Outlines
Taking the time to make an outline can save you valuable minutes, indeed hours, when you actually start to write your paper. There are many ways to make up an outline. The outline comes from all the questioning you did in the previous step. You can use the wheel or the sun method to sort the information and concepts you have into main ideas and related information. The main ideas will become the main points you will discuss in detail in the different sections of your paper.
Here are two different approaches to outlining. The first sample uses the main ideas from your brainstorming as your main points.

This second example uses categories. This is a great method for noting similarities and differences between countries or research studies.
