Printing Services

Digital Print Shop: Campus Store

Large-scale printing requirements can be met by the Digital Print Shop at the Campus Store at a reduced charge to the user/department.

Network/Lab Printing

Each webFX lab is equipped with at least one HP LaserJet printer. These printers print in black and white only. In addition, there are 8 color laser printers available. Please see Lab Location Schedules under Guides & Tutorials to view the locations of the color printers.

At the beginning of each academic year, students are given a printing credit of $12.50.  When you print something in a lab, it will be deducted from this amount.  When this amount has been used, any additional printing will be charged to the Account holder at the Business Office.  For more information, please see Pay Printing Service under Policies.

The costs associated with printing in a lab are as follows:

  • 0.05 cents a page for Black and White single sided.
  • 0.09 cents a page for Black and White double sided.
  • 0.44 cents a page for Color single sided.

Please note: ALL Black and white printers are set to default to double sided.

If a student does not want a document to print double sided they must do the following after they login:

1. Start >Setting >Control Panel > Printers & faxes

2. Right click on the printer you wish to print and select “Properties”.

3. On the General Tab select Printing Preferences button.

4. Select “None” as the option for Print on Both sides.. OR remove the checkbox to print on both sides.

5. Select Apply > OK > OK

This process will have to be completed each time the user logs in.

If the student wishes to pick what documents or files are printed double sided, they can modify the printer settings within the application.

For example, to change a Word document from the default double sided to single sided the user would:

1. Open the Word document and select File > Print

2. Select the desired printer and then click the Properties Button.

3. Modify the Print on Both Sides Option on the Layout tab.  Select “OK”.

Printing Refunds

When a document prints incorrectly, the charge for the printing can be removed.  Printing charges are only refunded if there is an error with the server or there is a printer malfunction.  Printing charges are NOT refunded for accidental printings. 

To report a printing error and have your account reimbursed, please bring evidence (i.e. the printing you would like to be reimbursed for) to the Contact Center (NH 253).  For more information on printing refunds, please see Pay Printing Service under Policies.
