Public Education

By learning more about the HIV/AIDS pandemic and how it is infecting and affecting African people and nations, you are taking the first and most important step. The Xtending Hope Partnership can assist you in accessing the resources and materials for local schools and community groups. We are also available for school or community group presentations and media interviews.

Organize a Fundraiser

There are countless ways that an individual or groups can raise funds to support our activities. The most effective fundraisers, whether big or small, are those that use your talents, resources, or networks. For example:

  • Patti Boudreau, a Nova Scotia resident and local hair stylist, has spearheaded the Hearts for Hope fundraiser with local businesses in Nova Scotia. Patti has done a fantastic job of raising awareness on HIV/AIDS in Africa and funds for the Xtending Hope Partnership. The Valentines fundraiser is held during the entire month of February.
  • Lynda Hanshaw from Cornwallis, Nova Scotia, designed a pewter Christmas ornament and donated all proceeds to the Xtending Hope Partnership.

It is important that you provide your availability, and the minimum amount of time that you could volunteer overseas.
