Below are lists of courses expected to be offered (subject to revision) in the 2023-24, and 2024-25 academic years, to help you with the planning of your degree. All other courses in the 200, 300, and 400 levels are offered on a rotating basis over a three-year period. The senior seminars are offered on a priority basis to senior Advanced Majors and Honours students. Other students interested in taking a senior seminar should inquire with the departmental chair, Jason Potts (jpotts@stfx.ca) or the administrative assistant (english@stfx.ca) about availability and prerequisites.
Courses designated (P) fulfill the pre-1800 degree requirement, and those designated (PPC) fulfill the Postcolonial/Canadian requirement. Descriptions of each course are available on the English Department website.
