Summary of Needs Assessment Survey

The Faculty Development Committee conducted a needs assessment with Faculty and Staff to learn more about their classroom technology needs, what writing surfaces they would like to see in teaching and learning spaces, seating needs, and to better understand what classroom factors are important to them.  The survey also provided an opportunity to find out what teaching methods were commonly used by faculty and staff, and to learn about what professional development sessions they were interested in.  A summary of the needs assessment survey results can be found here.

New Faculty Orientation 2019

The new faculty orientation day will be held on Thursday, August 29th from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm in Room 202 of the Library (off of the Hall of Clans).  The FDC organizes this event every year as a welcome to new faculty.  We provide a friendly and inviting forum for the dissemination of information about various people, services and resources at StFX.  New faculty and teaching staff will have an opportunity to meet people from across campus as well as other new faculty.  Details and Agenda.
