STFX Community Recreational Gymnastics Program

The StFX Community Recreational Gymnastics program is designed as a teaching practicum that gives students an opportunity to teach young children (ages 4 to 13 years) both gymnastics and body management skills. Students will use the gymnastic foundational movement patterns they learned about in Gymnastics 105. The course is one day per week with the first hour being devoted to setting up a safe gymnastics environment and basic Technical and Theoretical instruction to deliver a well-rounded gymnastics lesson. The second hour is devoted to providing an hour-long gymnastics lesson in a community gymnastics program offered by the Department of Human Kinetics at StFX.
