Brenda joined the department as a lab instructor in September 2001 after working as a bakery supervisor and teaching at the community college level. She has a B.Sc. in Nutrition and Consumer Studies from St. F.X. University as well as a Certified Food Executive designation from the Canadian Association of Foodservice Professionals. She is a registered trainer of ADVANCED.fst® with TRAINCAN, Inc.




Brenda is responsible for the lab component of Introduction to Foods (HNU 145), Introduction to Food Science (HNU 146) and assisting with the Advanced Food Study (HNU 445) lab. She also attends to the daily operations and maintenance of the departmental labs, lab equipment and the purchasing of lab supplies.
