The IDI program in an accredited dietetic education program that is recognized by the Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice (PDEP).  The internship program offers integration of academic and experiential learning which enables student's eligibility to write the Canadian Dietetic Registration Exam (CDRE) and registration with a provincial dietetics regulatory body to practice as a Registered Dietitian.

The IDI program is a 42-week program composed of three practicums (HNU 481, HNU 482, HNU 483 - See course descriptions here ). Each practicum offers diverse learning experiences and students will gain knowledge, skills, and experience with a wide range of professionals working in various areas of dietetic practice including food service management, nutrition care, and population public health.

Option 1: Enter directly from high School; follow the dietetics course concentration and apply for an integration of your practicum experience after your 3rd year of study OR apply for the integrated dietetic internship program in their fourth year of study.

Option 2:  A fast track, accelerated dietetics degree is available to transfer students.  Work with a department advisor to facilitate your dietetic concentration course selection and start your internship practicum program in your final year of study, which could be in as little as 2 years.
