One semester or a full year abroad
The Department encourages students in a four-year program to spend either a semester or a full year in a French-speaking environment. To this end, a study abroad program is in place allowing students to spend one or two semesters in their third year at the CIDEF (Centre International d'Etudes Francaises) in Angers, France. There are also various opportunities for student exchange at French universities.. At some of these universities, students can take a combination of courses offered in French and English.
